Dillard Men’s Track & Field Records Strong Finishes at Southeastern Louisiana
Hammond, LA — The Dillard University men's track & field team turned in a solid performance at Southeastern Louisiana, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 200 meters and multiple scoring efforts across the meet.
Freshman Lance Williams led the way for the Bleu Devils with an impressive second-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking 21.81s into a headwind (-1.1), earning valuable team points and one of the top performances of the day.
In the 400 meters, Jordan Thomas added to the team's scoring with a sixth-place finish (49.90), while Kydell Miner matched that effort in the 800 meters, placing sixth overall in 1:58.52.
Dillard also saw success in the hurdles, as Jeremy Geary Jr. placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles (17.43), followed by Ja'lahn Limbrick in seventh (18.76). The duo returned in the 400-meter hurdles, where Dorian Cook led the group with a fourth-place finish (1:00.49) and Limbrick added a fifth-place finish (1:03.38).
In the 200 meters, Dillard added depth behind Williams with Jeremy Geary Jr. (12th, 23.14) and Robert Jackson Jr. (13th, 23.43). Jackson also competed in the 100 meters (11.43) and contributed in the field events.
The distance group was led by Phillip Issac, who posted a 15th-place finish in the 1500 meters (4:35.16), followed by K'mon Washington (17th, 4:45.58).
In field event action, Stanley Rhone paced the throwing squad with a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw (41.58m). He also competed in the discus (33.23m) and javelin (30.57m). Robert Jackson Jr. added efforts in the shot put (9.62m) and hammer throw, contributing to the team's overall depth.
