Lady Bleu Devils put their best foot forward at NAIA Indoor Nationals
Gainesville, Fla. — The Dillard University women's track & field team competed against the nation's best at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, highlighted by solid performances in the 200 meters and the 4x400-meter relay.
In the women's 200-meter preliminaries, Tatiana Clay and Tori Burton represented the Bleu Devils on the national stage. Clay recorded a time of 25.43 in her heat, while Burton followed with a mark of 25.67 in her respective preliminary race.
Dillard also competed in the women's 4x400-meter relay, where the team of Ta'nijal Matthews, Laila Johnson, Karlise Davison, and Tatiana Clay delivered a strong performance. The quartet recorded a season-best time of 3:56.25 in the preliminary round.
Competing at the national championships provided valuable experience for the Bleu Devils as the program now turns its focus toward the upcoming outdoor track & field season. With the season opener being the Sean Brady Opener held at Southeastern in Hammond, LA on March 14.
