Xavier Sweeps Dillard
NEW ORLEANS– In a commanding display of skill and teamwork, Xavier University of Louisiana's volleyball team swept Dillard University in straight sets on September 10, 2025, at the Convocation Center. The match, part of the ongoing season, saw Xavier solidifying their record at 10-3, while Dillard evened out at 3-3.
Xavier's victory was marked by consistent performance across all three sets, winning each by scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-19, respectively. The team showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience right from the start. Kamea Uitenham led the charge for Xavier with an impressive 10 kills and a .364 hitting percentage. Taylor Parker also contributed significantly with eight kills and four solo blocks, earning a total of 13 points for her side.
Dillard, despite their efforts, struggled to keep up with Xavier's momentum. The team's attack percentage was notably lower, with several players hitting negative percentages. Neveah Bax and Madisen Fobbs were the standout performers for Dillard, contributing six and five kills, respectively, though it wasn't enough to shift the match in their favor.
