Dillard Now 4-1 in Conference Play
NEW ORLEANS –In a decisive display of skill and teamwork, Dillard University swept Tougaloo College in straight sets during their volleyball match on September 26, 2025. The match, held at Dent Hall in New Orleans, saw Dillard secure a 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, and 25-12.
Dillard University, now with a 7-6 record and 4-1 in conference play, demonstrated their superiority from the outset. Their attack was potent and efficient, with a remarkable hitting percentage of .500 thanks to consistent performances by key players. Neveah Bax led the charge with 13 kills and a .435 hitting percentage, while Cadence Thomas was equally impressive with 12 kills and a stellar .647 percentage. Khara Morton also contributed significantly with a .600 hitting percentage over two sets.
On the other hand, Tougaloo College, who fell to 1-12 overall and 1-4 in conference, found it challenging to penetrate Dillard's defenses. The team struggled offensively with a hitting percentage of just .080. While Zoie Chambers managed to contribute 7 points with a .250 hitting percentage, the team collectively could not match Dillard's pace and precision.
Dillard's aggressive offensive strategy was complemented by their defensive efforts, which included 45 digs and a total of 62 points.
